OFF GRID SOLAR SYSTEMS: This type of system is used when there is no grid power at all. You are totally reliant on the the solar array and battery for all your power requirements – always. This means that your daily power consumption has to be accurately taken into account and that you will require a rather large battery.
HOME SOLAR SYSTEMS: Also known as Energy Storage Systems. These type of systems are used where grid power is available. The solar array produces power during the day, the battery supplies power at night. Its about maximizing self consumption. The aim is to use the grid for back-up only. The battery also stores energy for load-shedding – so you will always have power.
GRID TIE SOLAR SYSTEMS: This system operates without a battery and only works while the sun is shining. During daylight hours the Grid-Tie Inverter converts the power from the solar panels directly into AC power and supplies your loads. At Night you use grid power as normal. Its about saving money.
BATTERY BACK-UP SYSTEMS: This solution generally offers a longer run time than your average UPS. You would use a battery back-up system to supply power to critical loads during load-shedding. You tell us how long you want your run time to be and we’ll design a system to suite.
